Oh! Takes Vega$

Greetings from our tony! toni! tone! digs at THEhotel at Mandalay Bay. Our mission here, beyond simply reuniting while indulging in Vega$ vices (footballs filled with beer, the Keno room at the Fitz, the Spa at Mandalay Bay, the Thunder Down from Down Under), is to come face to face with our namesake--or at least the woman who so famously belted "Oh! Industry...Whatever will be come of me?" in our ur-text, Beaches.

That's right folks...tonight we see Bettte Midler at Caesar's Palace! And although we may only be viewing her "from a distance" (to work within our respective recessionista budgets), we can't wait to see what Otto Titsling-driven medleys and Bathhouse Bette throwbacks the grand dame of vocal burlesquery will share with us in the house Celine built tonight.
